Voyage
en Galilee
Text by Emile Shoufani-Photos by Hanan Isachar
Emile
Shoufani, the priest of Nazareth has lived in the Holy Land
since his childhood. Each place in Galilee is an invitation
to meditate on the New Testament, each road he walks down
brings to mind the spirituality of his oriental Christian
community, each landscape brings him back to his combat
today for justice and dialogue between men, whatever their
creed.
The
superb photographs of Hanan Isachar show the stark mountains
of Galilee, the luscious valleys in flower in springtime,
the extraordinary cultural wealth of this land and the profound
humanity of its inhabitants.
